Spiritual Living

Spiritual living involves living a life based in love (respect for all beings: human, animal, plants, nature and the earth), law (man-made, natural and spiritual) and Light ( seeking objective information, constant education, respect for learning while embracing a "Growth" mindset).

With spiritual living, no one tells us what to think. Our morals, values and ethics are shaped by our awareness, understanding and alignment with the laws of our society, the natural physical laws and the eternal divine spiritual laws that govern our universe. When we are in alignment with these laws, we lead positive and productive lives. We enjoy good health (mentally, emotionally and physically). We enjoy mutually beneficial relationships. We find ourselves blessed with interesting and valuable friends and fulfilling work. We find no shortage of stimulating new adventures, opportunities and challenges.

Life is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, even for those who live a spiritually-based life. People still make mistakes that cause hurt feelings, accidents, sickness, property damage, disappointment, frustrations and even death. It is much easier to deal with these situations when we are fully engaged in a spiritual life experience. Here are the reasons why. People who live a spiritual life:

  • Accept responsibility for any tresspasses against another person or their possessions.

  • Are willing to make things right to heal feelings and relationships

  • Admit when they are wrong and apologize.

  • Are willing to help others without expecting anything in return

  • Value honesty, respect and keeping their commitments

  • Practice good character, ethical behavior and integrity

  • Believe in and practice rendering service to others

  • Strive to be transparent in financial and business dealings

  • Are fair open in their relationships

  • Work hard to live their lives authentically

  • Are sincere and genuine in whichever life assignments they find themselves tasked

Unfortunately, not as many people live a spiritual life as to make daily living far more comfortable. Many people are products of poor childhood rearing, loveless parenting, dysfunctional homes, lack of basic education and toxic community environments. Because of these factors, we have more challenging communities in our society. Criminal activity is more frequent. Responsible parenting is less common. Lying and cheating are more commonplace.

Because people generally do not feel safe, accepted or respected, they often treat other people the way they feel. Non-spiritual people often live in fear. They fear everything that they cannot personally control in their lives. This leads to a perception that they are unstable, insecure, untrustworthy, irresponsible and often dangerous,

Ironically, once these same people discover the path of spiritual living, over a very short time of becoming aware of the many spiritual laws, understanding the wisdom (principles) surrounding these spiritual laws and experimenting with these principle by applying in their everyday lives, their lives literally transform into an increasingly pleasant quality of living experiences. People become friendlier toward them. They notice that the quality of their relationships seem to be improving. Their workplace becomes less stressful. Everyone in their world seems to be much more cooperative.

When it comes to embracing a spiritual life, life does not change but the life inside of us changes everything and everyone we meet in positive ways that often defy our comprehension. If you are here to explore the idea of spiritual living, if you commit to it, you will find a new world and a new life that you never realized you could have and enjoy.
