Vibrant Spiritual Living is an introductory website for those who are interested in learning about non-religion based spiritual living. Many who are seeking this knowledge were reared or found themselves trapped in religions where they realized that they were being controlled by hierachical organizations that did not respect their right to choice of personal expression, lifestyle, desired social and relationships alignments, life's work and so on.
There are no stories here that are meant to influence your behavior. There is no mention of mortal sin, spilled blood, blaming spirit entities or personal judgments here. This is a safe and loving place for all people, regardless of their background. No one here is concerned with social ridicule or political marginalization of any individual. Regarding spiritual living, there are only a few concepts that you must understand. They are these:
Spiritual living is not a spectator activity. We have to get in there and get ourselves dirty with experience and that requires a commitment that no one can make us keep. We are completely on our own in this pursuit. We can take breaks as often as we desire, We are free to slack off at any time. Only your choices will punish you. Here is an example:
Imagine that you are in a small boat or a canoe on a river that has a strong current and lots of bends and turns along the way. Once you have committed to taking this journey, you have also accepted the responsibility of paddling and stering your water vessel safely around the bends and turns along the river's path.
Suppose you decide that you do not want to steer and paddle the boat so that you have a safe journey. You decide to take a break. The water current is still moving you forward. No one is going to warn you, threaten to punish you or even shame you for taking a break. Since you are no longer interested in steering the vessel so that you have a safe trip, you are likely to crash into the river bank at some point or perhaps, you might wreck into some jagged rocks or a downed tree. Your lack of attention and responsiblity would result in your punishment. It is very much this way when you choose to snub the importance of the spiritual laws.
If your life is not working for you very well currently, it likely that you are being punished by your ignorance of the spiritual laws. If you do not know better, you will still be punished. For example, if you pick up a venomus snake and it bit you and made deathly ill, you are being punished by your own ignorance. Once you can identify that snake breed as venomus, you probably would not do it again.
Once you learn about the spiritual laws that are creating misery in your life, you will learn to use that law to make your life better, happier and more fulfilling. Learning to live a spiritual life is just that simple.
